Advent Children was the ish!

I think DOA was the best game to movie possible for that game. The story line sucks hard and the original point of the whole thing was to make bouncy boobs. I purchased the movie and watch it every once in a while when I feel I need a laugh, and an example of how not to make a movie. Plus, Jan Lee and Brad Wong lost the first round? Whatev!

Making exact story renditions can be good in some cases. For example, FFVII: Fans have been crying for a re-make of the game for YEARS, nothing new, just the same exact game with better graphics and more video. A series-style movie, like Dune, would do very well with FFVII. (CGI preferrably)

Ha, I bought House of the Dead for the same reason as DOA!

What I would like to see if it could be done properly is Parasite Eve, that game was great, with a solid story and just kind of fell off the charts.

As for book to movie, Fight Club, very few changes. Although the changes that were made did make the book better IMO, the movie was nearly a direct narration by Edward Norton.

That is an extra good example because it wasn't really presented like a book to movie adaptation. I actually didn't know their was a Fight Club book until after I saw the movie.

I personally think that the comparison will almost always hurt any form of movie adaptation. The only time it might help is when you get a cheap laugh.
