Forza Horizon

Alright I beat the single player mode the other day and WTF?!? Don't get me wrong the race for both the championship and Darius' car was fun but could they have been any more lackluster about it? I mean seriously I get one quick "Congrats you are the champ!" And that's it, back out into the open world with not even any kind of celebration or anything whatsoever. The radio dudes still talk about Darius, the rock station guy still begs people to dethrone him, and it is like I never even existed and I just won the damn championship!!!! For the love of god it seems that a whole lot of open world games these days don't put any emphasis on the end game besides "let em keep running around and finish everything." How about putting some kind of closure on the damn thing to at least make me feel like I won something.

Just started playing the rally expansion yesterday. At first it felt like "Holy @#$% THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE!!!" But after about a half-hour of practice and watching other people on Youtube I've pretty much gotten the hang of it and it is a blast! The difficulty of some of the times seems a bit unbalanced though. On some races, like the very first one in Beaumont or whatever, it seems like you make a single mistake and you can kiss first place goodbye. On others it seems to give you a fair amount of leeway. The Rockies races for example were way too easy to beat, I was bumping into everything along the track in all 4 of those races and it felt like I was doing terrible and it still gave me first place with only one or two tries on them. And yes I have it on hard with a manual tranny and everything else turned off.

Here's my favorite course on DiRT 3. It's the most accurate of all the courses in the entire game when it comes to course width.
I think the courses on Forza are way too wide but I can understand given the class requirements for most of the events on the thing make you feel like you're driving a Group B Rally car on roids... Even they class A cars go too fast for a true style course so they're made to be wide so you can go retard fast on them all. Oddest thing is that Forza 4 actually features 2 rally cars and no rally (oh and a hill climbing car). The Peugeot 207 S2000 (A:569), the Audi Quattro Sport S1 Group B (R3:730), and Suzuki Monster Sport SX (R1:878). I'm guessing an WRC car would be around S:630. xD

Well the main game isn't a full sim like the regular Forza racers so maybe it's the same with the Rally expansion. Designed with a little bit of the fantasy racing mixed in.

And even though I havn't gotten to the end yet I can see what you mean with it being short. I mean it's like 6 or 7 events with 4 races in each. If they had put them as actual events in the open world that you could drive to like the other races I don't think it would have been as bad but making it a stand alone section of the game just highlights the lack of content.
