Sylveon gets Pixilate as a hidden ability which turns normal type moves into fairy type moves and increases their power by 30%. So Return or Last resort etc would be pretty deadly, wouldn't you say. Take into account getting to level 100, maxing stats to your liking, and adding a decent held item. It's fairly lethal, I would say. I think under these circumstances it could nearly one shot opponents if its a matchup that is favorable to fairy types
seems like a meh ability to be honest, it already gets moonblast and dazzling gleam which happen to be some of the best fairy moves. if a non-fairy got it though that might be kinda cool unless it was a normal pokemon who got it then lol. cute charm can be a suprisingly good ability as well, assuming you and the opponent are opposite genders, since infatuation is one of the most debilitating statuses in the game.

Gyarados can switch into Azumarill a lot from my experience, with that Intimidate just halving his attack, but it's more a check than a true counter. If you REALLY wanna scare it, you can do a lot worse than Magnezone, but even that can't take too many AJ's, would have to be a revenge switch rather than a standard one.

Blastoise and TFlame core seems pretty solid, though that electric weakness. I like Dugtrio as it can switch into the predicted Thunder/bolt (but not much else) and trap the opponent with it's ability, destroying them with super-fast Earthquakes.
Also, if your Blastoise isn't running Rapid Spin, then I suggest picking a spinner up. It's crucial to keeping Talonflame alive.

Shadow Ball > Pin Missile on Jolteon nowadays Donutman.

As for Pixilate Sylveon, Fairy type Quick Attack is kinda awesome, if not a little weak. Certainly polishes off those faster dragons nicely.

So, I've experienced some pretty embarrassing moments in Pokemon XY so far, mostly because of my one-decade-pokemon-skip.

I found out today that poison no longer harms you after battles (and kill your Pokemon eventually).

I wondered so much why my IV bred and speed-EV raised Aerodactyl NEVER gets to attack first in online battles. I found out today that I always used "roar" and that "roar" has a negative priority. Seriously, has that been like this in the first two gens?

There were some more of these "stupid-Kalas-moments", but I can't remember them.

And I still don't know what 70% of the abilities actually do, if I only read their name lol.

Pokemon battling has become a whole new scientific thing. You have to keep SO MUCH in mind when battling.
I kind of miss the time when you only needed an Alakazam with psychic and something else with earthquake. :D
