DD was always one of my favs, as was Spidey. Marvel is the shit, although DC has a couple of classics. The darker side of the man bat is too cool.

Spawn is actually my favorite, but he's McFarlane, which isn't an option.

Speaking of spawn I'm sure image and top cow both have some fairly popular heroes. And darkhorse does publish hellboy and the adventures of my buddy Guts:

But I don't really know how they'ed all fair in a poll against the bigger two and their icons. I voted Marvel simply because the house that Lee built has more characters I've actually bought books for. It's no commentary on who I like more or who has the better characters or whatever else. More of the average people probably know more marvel characters as well. Interesting poll idea would be to have people name all the superheroes that pop into their mind. Just not in our circles, that would take forever.
