EVO Update: Top 8

Decapon is considered the best player in Japan according to the Japanese players. And on top of that, they say gloomy stance is almost too cheap... the problem for tira is that getting to gloomy is random. Decapon has solid defense and seems very knowledgeable about character matchups, except against SU(he's on another level right now).

Woahhzz's match against Belial being a total beat down is an understatement. Belial couldn't get a single attack out and Woahhzz just getting in his face the whole time was amazing. Kura vs Woahhzz being a losers match is saddening cuz one of them will have to leave so early.

BTW, on the topic of SCV returning to Evo next year, I really hope so but in reality, it doesn't look like it will with all these other games coming out and Tekken making a return. I feel like this game will not be played very much after this Evo but we'll see what happens. I even feel like international players are more into this game than the US.

Well, I mean SC5 managed to get 500 entrants which is pretty good for a non-Capcom game.

I mean what's coming out...Tekken Tag, DoA5 and Persona 4.

From the numbers I'm guessing that SF4, UMvC3, and KoF are a shoe-in for next year.

MK9 only had 300 people and a new game is coming out next year so it will more than likely be dropped.

SFxT while it has a good number of people this year, interest has been dropping for it fast. And a lot of the people in the SFxT tourney are mostly people who signed up early or Capcom players who entered just because.

Another thing to remember is that the Evo comittee doesn't finalize their release schedule until the end of the year, so I'm sure they'll be looking at how well these games do from August to December to see what they will include.

I'm sure that TTT2 will have a good following, and people seem like they're going to support P4A but I don't know about DoA5.

So...I would say SC5 has a decent chance of reappearing as long as people continue to support it.

Decopon has been one of Japan's strongest players for quite some time. The one thing that stood out when I was watching him play is how clean his execution is, so it's not surprise to me that he's in top 8. And hopefully people can stop crying about how bad she sucks.

The easiest way for people to get SCV back at EVO is to get out of the house and support it. If you want to see the game back next year but haven't been out of the house yourself for the game, then you done goofed.

Anyway, I'm going back to drunk. Watch the finals tomorrow and tell yo friends to watch as well.
