Ever seen a girl die on the street?

^
And this is what this "era" has done to us.
Make people believe nothing unless it's happening right on their lap.

You hear a car alarm? You rationalize that it's a false alarm.
You hear some shouting and a large thump somewhere in your apartment complex? You rationalize it's just an argument.
You hear a sequence of muted bangs in a suburb? You rationalize that it must be fireworks.

Human being have become pitiable creatures in the last 50 years.

The other thing is that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is just a figurehead with no real power, so it really didn't matter who won this sham of an election. Nothing is going to change in Iran with the Ayatollahs in control. And pretty soon, most people will forget about what is going on in Iran and move on to worrying about something else, so we will see how much of an effect this girl turned martyr will have.

And why aren't the other people who died when these protests started popping off martyrs? No one gives a fuck about them.

Man... I hate the fact that we always have to spend our resources to help or police these dumb ass countries. I mean, yeah, it is horrible and inexcusable. Sorry though, not our problem. If you don't like the way you are being treated and you fear for your life, leave the fucking country. Don't come to America, really our country doesn't need any more immigrants right now... but go to Canada or something. Why do we have to spend BILLIONS of dollars DURING A RECESSION, to police these crazy fucks that have nothing better to do than kill civillians and be generally crazy. I'm tired of my tax dollars going to these causes when I would rather see something good come out of it in our country.

This is truly tragic...

Though as bad as a lot of this has gotten, the US still has a fare share of the blame, since it's responsible for installing the governments in place in the 60s-70s, trying to control the middle east oil reserves with behind the scene coos and puppet governments. It's totally not worth getting into a discussion about, but lets not act like we aren't a part of the problem, there are horrendous acts of violence, genocide, murder and slavery in all corners of the globe, the moment one gets fixed, 2 more problems just like it pop up elsewhere. It's a vicious cycle, and no government will be able to fix it in a greed driven capitalistic world.

This is the world we live in, if you want a difference made, you best be prepared to make it yourself. Therein lies the problem though, even if people manage to see past their own nose, you often have to take drastic and extreme measures to get heard and to make your cause relevant, then the media gets to twist your words for the latest fad articles and turns your cause/plight into a circus in which your words will be used to paint you into something you are not and quote you out of context to serve their liberal biased needs, rather than a useful forum to get your point across.

yay world.
