Yes... before I say anything, this IS A BAD GAME. Don't expect to get a good video game out of the experience, if you play this game. However, the game is hilarious, genius and just plain awesome at the same time.
The game centers around Matt Hazard (voiced by Will Arnett), an 80's video game star (think Duke Nukem), who was hugely successful, but has fallen on hard times due to franchise milking (think Lara Croft). He's in the lifetime society, so no matter what, he will continue to be milked; but now he is getting the chance for a series reboot. Unfortunately, the CEO of the game development studio (voiced by NPH) doesn't want him around anymore. The only way to get rid of Matt Hazard is to kill him off (that didn't work with Lara Croft).
So the game development studio starts throwing as many badguys at you, from all different video game series, in order to get rid of you. The game runs the gamut from Arnold Schwarzenegger clones, all the way to the star of Penultimate Illusion (think Final Fantasy), Altos Tratus (pronounced Alto Stratus, think Cloud Strife). Even more amazing are some of the genius enemy designs, like soldiers from Matt Hazard's "Non-Violent Watergun Based Third Person Shooter" Soak-em (pronounced SOCOM).
