EARTHQUAKE!

haha i'm in Va and was dead asleep from working the night shift i didn't even feel it. she said the whole house starting shaking and i slept right through that shit :D

As a foot note to my first story they both got mad at me because I told them what they did was stupid. They argued they were unhurt, I argued that wasn't the point. If the quake was worse, they could have been. Who comes to a place where they know there's a danger and doesn't at least read up on it first? If I moved out to the midwest you could bet I'd read up on what to do in the event of a tornado before I even left California. If the local five year olds are better prepared than you are, you have no grounds to defend yourself.

He worked at blizzard. They closed the offices for the day over a 3.1. He talked like it was the greatest disaster ever. What a joke. That won't even wake most Californians up. Funny thing about a quake though, barring some interference like a loud air conditioner, you can hear it coming before it hits. A big quake will usually sound with a long roll. I have no other way to put it. But they almost always start out small and build up a head of steam as they roll. A quake that jolts suddenly is pretty rare here at least so it's easy to know when you should start moving.

This is true considering this is exactly what happened at my place. I heard a loud rumbling sound first and then everything starting shaking a bit later.

And for the record, I did immediately move towards a door frame when the whole house started shaking. I suppose I'm not that stupid. Hahaha.
