Normally you'd be right about that, but in this case ANY story is a better story than the first 4 DMC games. Story was way on the back burner for those games, yknow because the actual games were FUN, but in no way were they good. The current one actually tries, because of NT, but you're view of it blows my mind. TAKES IT SERIOUSLY? Sure there a maybe 35% more serious moments in it, but just like the old games they make fun of it so hard.

DMC 1: Dante: Im suppose to be the one to full your dark soul with LIIIGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!

DMC 2: we going to ride this... Straight to hell... (BOOOOOO)

DMC3: We both have a piece of sparda in us... and my piece is telling me TO DEFEAT U!!! (dante voice crackles)

DMC4: Is this the price... we pay... FOR POWER! (Dies in laughter)

Yeah... DmC and story... na... also DMC... is not that much better but its a start to something at least lol. I mean that game already had a cheesy dialogue already "FUCK YOu..."
"FUCK YOU!!!" "FUCK YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOU!". World class writing right there! lol! but DmC world does look awesome so i give NT credit there because the layouts look sick.
 
I haven't tasted fanboy tears this delicious since Bayonetta 2 was confirmed to be Police Siren exclusive.

EDIT: Not referring to in this thread, but in a general sense.
 
I have got to be the only person who thinks dmc1-4 story is good. I absolutely LOVED 3's story as well as 4's.
I watched a playthrough of the new one and the story is just meh to me. It is not keeping me to interested so far but I have a bit more to watch. The only other problem I have with new DmC is that is looks and plays really easy compared to the old ones XD. When I rent it I will have to play on the hardest difficulty they give me. What I will say is that im not going to hate on new DmC like I used to just because I am thinking of it as a whole different series now. Anyone can feel free to like it and that is their choice but I personally do not.
