In general, I have a general dislike for most of cast in DOA5, but I like the fighting styles utilized by them. Hence the conundrum of whether I hate the character more than I like the style or whether I like the style more than I hate the character. And whether or not I can play the character well enough that I can get over the fact that I dislike the character.
Case to point, I dislike Kokoro as a character, but I like Baji Quan a lot, plus Kokoro is fairly beginner friendly so I can play her well enough. I like Akira, but I can't really play him all that well, despite liking his Baji Quan.
Now, I don't really have any intense dislike for any of the characters so I can't really say I hate Raidou or Honoka. Rather I'm just expectedly disappointed that like the rest of the DLC characters, Team Ninja went and gave them existing moves and animations. And Honoka just ends looking a lot like Kokoro personality-wise. A ditzy, heart-on-her-shoulder high school girl. It's nice that Marie Rose and Honoka are buddy-buddy and it can help develop the two characters, but... eh.
Still, that's just my initial impressions, until I can really get a handle on Honoka, I'll reserve final judgment. I like the flow of her combos, but I dislike characters like Necrid, yet, she might be fun. Oh dear, that conundrum... meh.
