Because it would have been an actual twist. Of course, now we have confirmation of Tengboobs, so I can now hype up our new masked monster-girl... assuming the wings aren't for show.

As for the Eliot/trap thing, I think it was unintentional. TN wanted the young prodigy type, but the art style made him look too pretty. I picked the series up at 5, so I only saw the old Eliot after the new Eliot.
 
Hey if you guys noticed on the second pic I posted, the masked tenge woman is in a pose very similar to Ayane's don't make me laugh win pose.

So, commence speculation.
 
so if you fold your arms that immediately means you're copying ayane? nah, that pose has been around for much longer than her. the woman has a mole, so that means she's a new character. she has the same wings and fan as the original tengu as well. and it's hard to really tell what her hair color is because of the lighting. Looks either royal blue or purple. but i really rather not have this turn into a speculation thread. those only go badly. just wait and point out what you can actually see and not just guess on what the end product is.
