Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate

I managed to invest some more time with the characters last night.
Bear in mind that these are personal opinions:

  • Helena feels much different. Maybe I just never really understood the force tech game in 5, but she feels much more dangerous now. Still on the slow side, but she hits like a truck off of goddamn EVERYTHING.
  • Jann Lee... I was hoping they had nerfed DG. Nope. Although his Dragon Stance P+K is fun as hell. Gonna go hang out with Jacky again.
  • If Christie got nerfed, I do not see it. She feels exactly as dangerous as she used to.
  • Bayman's still damn good, too. I'm gonna need a little time to figure out whether Leon or Bayman's better, but that backroll... just wow.
  • Kokoro doesn't seem very different either, although her strings feel a little faster. Apparently she lost some stun moves...
  • Eliot... does TN even want this kid to be good?! Even his command training's buggy as f**k.
  • Ayane's the same, but with some different inputs.
  • Kasumi was buffed, without a doubt. Mostly just more string options and better move properties.
  • Rig feels more... Sarah-like, which is precisely what I thought he needed. Also, Rig Twister is now Turning~K~H+K. Nice.
 
Just started it up, tried out the newbies in command training.

Rachel - Ehh... Not even Ivy's cock trample move makes me think "better than a random VF character". Plus even in the World of DOA's plastic girls in fetish costumes, she looks a bit out of place.
Momoji - Fucking Inzuna move. Other than that ehh.
Jacky - Cool character
Leon - Has a Bryan Fury style punch to the gut and throw overhead AKA best move ever. Shame he hasn't got dat laff.
Ein - Waste really.

In short. Leon, Jacky, Momoji, Rachel, Ein. It doesn't help that I would rather have Dural.

I know it really sounds like I'm hating it but no. Im just that guy who buys all the updates just to dick about in training mode. I am Pat.

so i found out that you can kick people from lobbies while playing. some dude from asia was in a USA room and for whatever the reason the USA guy left and the asian guy got to be host even though i was 5 bars with the USA dude. so i beat the asian dude in an uber laggy match. and the dude kicked me while i was in character select to face someone i had a decent connection with. this could be good though. i think i'm gonna start making my own rooms. and why won't anyone do tag matches and form teams? i just don't get it.
