Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate

No idea. But then again, the whole Dynasty Warriors series hasn't really been received well in the US where people think it's all just about mashing the same button over and over and over and over and over...
I suppose so cuz the majority in America like to shoot and kill. Why not combine it into a game, oh there's cod which is also a big blob of repetitiveness: run around, shoot, kill, run out of ammo, pick up the same weapon used by someone else, get killed, and rinse and repeat. I'm not directing any hostility to you by the way
Orochi series Is still quit popular in Europe, but i like somehow the way TN handling their Franchise.
You know i could make a "High Five" with you for your Preemptive Bann comment/statement.
Cheers!

It's so popular in Europe that it got a physical copy for ps3 (I got mad about this) and 360 :/

I'm sorry, but preemptive bans are one of the dumbest things to happen in fighting games. You CANNOT make a judgement on a games balance before the game comes out.

You can if you already have the game. (I already have the game.)

Speaking of which. ALPHA is actually only just B-tier in FSD's most recent tier list.

You have to also remember that tier list was constructed with minimal, if any, high level player input. It was basically a place for people to bitch about who was where because they were going to do it whether we wanted them to or not.

As for their "analysis"... let me put it this way. It took six months for the community to recognize Helena for being borderline broken after I initially said it. Six months. They aren't exactly the sharpest tools in the shed. And even then, most of them still don't understand the real reasons, instead blaming it on a blanket statement of force techs.

It only took Perfect Legend five minutes to figure it out. Hell, even E-mann came to the same realization by the end of the day.

The community at large however isn't very bright.

There are characters that are going to be more popular and also insanely frustrating when the game comes out officially. They will overshadow Alpha because Alpha simply won't be played as much. I imagine it will take another year for people to finally come full circle and recognize the broken.

as a newbie i gotta say that the only that bugs me in DOA is the okizeme/wake-up game. it seems like unless you're a grappeler, you cant really affect the people you knock down. then again, im new. so im probably missing something lol.

But doesn't the fact that you can figure out that a character is broke kinda worrying about the entire game in general.

Then again, maybe it's just because I'm used to playing games were we run broken shit for a year, then figure out more broken shit to counter it.

Unless off course you're saying that Alpha's ST Akuma tier or CvS1 ratio 4 Nakoruru tier.

You have options like force techs and pseudo force techs to force people to get up and keep them from doing wake up kicks. Also, I recall certain moves flat out beat wake up kicks.

My only Alpha story happens to deal with a lesser skilled player online. He picked Alpha - her green color - and picked the arena stage with the forcefield and used the forcefield and Alpha's color to basically blend in and hide's character from view. It was pretty annoying since you couldn't see exactly what Alpha was doing or what not.

If anything, unless they fixed the color of Alpha for that particular stage or just Alpha's colors in general, I would ban her default green and that stage in particular because the colors are far too similar and its easy for Alpha simply blend in at the corners.

While I didn't actually lose any fights against this particular player (he wasn't exactly good); lag, combined with colorblindness made it more difficult than it needed to be.
