Gah, its so frustrating playing Akira. His inputs might be easier, but he feels so much harder to combo with than in VF5.
EDIT: Probably should comment on the video.
So Kokoro looks like she's getting a mid hitting sabaki. I wonder what the input will be? I wonder if they're getting rid of some old moves to fit it in, considering she's already slotted every direction for P and P+K inputs (except 789 P+K).
Maybe she'll finally have a 4K?
I wonder if Momiji and Kokoro have some tag team synergy?
Its kinda interesting that more characters are getting bounce stun combos. I think Kokoro was probably one of the earliest characters to get them, at least somewhat good ones. Still, I wonder if Kokoro's new move(s) will be strong/fast enough to work with her bounds, far as I could tell, Kokoro didn't have the greatest amount of freedom or guarantees post bounce (though I guess, with DoA5, its a lot better than some characters).
Now if they could just make the strings into them guaranteed off counter hit or something.
EDIT2: On closer inspection, it looks like Kokoro's new sabaki has the same animation frames as her 66T throw. For DoA4 vets, this throw used to be an offensive hold against certain mids.
I can't remember where, but I read that Kokoro's stats on her character selection changed. Instead have Strike 4, Throw 3 and Move 3 (or was it 4?), its now Strike 4, Throw 4 and Move 2.
It seems like they're pushing Kokoro towards half-grappler in Ultimate if the stats are indications of buffs and tweaks in certain directions. I wonder if this means she'll have some more useful throws that set up openings, ala Akira? Could Heichu throw become an offensive hold?
