Windstar
[12] Conqueror
The irony of the situation is that Ayane is one of the worst characters to rushdown with. She's designed almost entirely for zoning and whiff punishment. And some people wonder why Ayane players get a bad name for themselves -_-.
Amazon ships on the release date. Kinda defeats the point of pre-ordering if you can't get the product on release day.
Don't worry though they still got all the important characters such as Ayane, Kasumi, Hitomi and Kokoro =)
No LeiFang though =(
Yeah I'm aware that Ayane is pretty terrible to bum rush with, but she's also fairly easy to work with for more beginners and aggressive players because she has so many PPKK combinations. There was an intermediate player that I frequently encounter, were it not for the lag, it would be easier to show him how silly his aggressive tendencies are. Because, even then I still try to show him that he keeps eating counter hits on every frame disadvantage. It gets to the point, where I don't even feel like trying hard anymore because most players I encounter just won't learn. Not to mention the fact that Kokoro kinda has a hard time dealing with sort of play without resorting to shenanigans that just don't really work on players on the lower skill level. I still have trouble trying to get them to fear Heichu and certain setups, but I'm not quite sure what else to do, Kokoro feels kinda limiting like that. If she had better frames on hit or block, I could try frame traps and what not, but I'm just stuck with countering and being passive aggressive.
On the other hand, cases where I play too aggressively or too hard I end up scaring the players away, and I don't want to do that, so I end up pulling my punches a little too much too often I think. I want players to learn, so I try to be obvious, less aggressive, but it feels like they're being a little too stubborn about it sometimes.
Good games with KasumiAngelDD tonight. Although, leaving me with a channel of somewhat lesser skilled players wasn't too nice. Still I got to have little fun. And I'm still experimenting with different characters I haven't tried before. This time around its Bayman, but maybe I should try Helena and abuse those forced-techs (while they're still around!) as much as I can. Who knows if Helena'll have them in Ultimate?
