A bunch of players actually like the glitch. There's a growing movement to actually have TN keep the glitch in the game.

In fact, I believe Rikuto will be running the game with the glitch at tournaments.

I understand what people like about it, it would certainly make things less random, would make stuns more dangerous/lead to bigger damage combos and I always forget to slow escape anyways, lol. However they are eventually going to patch out the glitch as it stands. What's your plan for the future? And forget adjusting to controllers between systems, now you're dealing with two different sets of rules between 360 and PS3 players, with the 360 slated to never even see the 1.03 patch. So what happens to those guys?

PS3 is also getting an updated patch.

That said, alot of folks within the DOA community are trying to make it heard that they like the game this way where slow-escapes are near useless.

Also, there has been some suggestion that slow-escapes be banned, at least symbolically, so that TN get's the point.

Picking the game back up. Trying to figure out what character I want to use. Anyone have an idea of which characters are represented most and least in th tournament scene? Also, how many ranked battles do you have to do to unlock costumes?

200 ranked battles, in my experience, I don't see many Kokoro players at all. I also see few Bayman, Bass, Gen Fu, Eliot and Zack players. I see more Rig than Hayate, and frequently see Brad more than Bayman. lately I haven't seen many Hitomi, or Mila players. I do see a fair bit of Hayate, but his appearance is rarer than Brad.

I see a feq hayabusas, lots of Tina and Christie, lots of Jann Lee, Lei Fang, Lisa and Ayane.

Oddly, I see more Akira than Sarah, but I do see lots of Pai.


On the tourney scene, I think Zack is the least represented.
