been playing for a few hours now and some impressions from me, good and bad.
First, the online is balls bad from my experience. I haven't played on PS3 yet though, only 360, but it was unplayable.
Second, story is fun, but I wish they would have separated the "do (__) 3 times to advance!" training from the story. I don't like playing Zack, I don't want to HAVE to land a power blow in a match with him in order to progress through the story...
The combat though...the combat is feeling pretty good so far. the less damage on counters is REALLY nice. It doesn't feel like you gave up a round because your opponent got one good guess on you like it did in DoA2:U and DoA4. Counters are about as much damage as basic launch combos. So only maybe 20% of your health bar. The "advanced holds" most characters have can lead to more, but I've yet to run into anyone doing them...online being complete balls and all that.
