When i talked about personnality i meant character mechanics. Every character is basically the same. They have low grabs, similar chains, they all have counters etc... They lack personnality in the sense that they aren't really unique gameplay wise
Again, you haven't played DOA3.1 or 3.2, where individualisation was expanded upon.DOA3.0 (i.e. the American version) is shit, to say the least.

And last but not least the leniance . If you think DOA is not leniant then VF4 EVO , Guilty Gear, KOF, Garou would like to have a word with you. DOA3 was fun but its far from the best game of its generation REALLY far.
Difficulty of execution =/= depth. And you can't compare 2D mechanics to 3D mechanics, since each have to use their planes differently.

Ah, the usual "DOA3 was terrible" complaint from a person who never had the fortune of playing 3.1 or 3.2 at the least.

I don't blame the person though, I blame Tecmo/Team NINJA for never allowing the game to reach stateside - the series' largest audience.
