Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate

I wonder if I'll get to see this costume of her? One could dream since I find Momiji fascinating...

I wonder what her move list will be like if she is playable.

If she isn't DLC, which will require a massive patch, will she be the sole character included? Or will they include other characters for an expansion as well. That is, Leon, Donovan or other characters?

wait, so they are working on a new DOA5 title? that's not DOA5+? are they doing the Blazblu and MvC3 thing. not complaining though cause i'd buy that sht still.

look at the background. new stage possibly unless it's a cut scene. don't know but it looks like a new stage considering the low walls have a "ring" feel to them.

Just wait for E3..thats all im gonna say.

That's a good question. I play around with Momiji in NG3: Razor's Edge and I have pretty much no idea what her unarmed moveset would be like. Out of the characters, she's kinda the "heavyweight" in terms of playstyle due to her heavy naginata weapon, so I wouldn't be surprised if she's slightly slower than Kasumi and Ayane.

But, YEAAA!!! Get to beat around the DOA cast with the Dragon Shrine-Maiden! Now we just need Hayate in NG and for Ayane to get all her NG outfits (plz TN?), and then all is set in the universe.

Wielders of naginata weapons have often been depicted as being Aikido users (Aoi, and Asuka for example). So if she's brought into the game, she's likely to be an Aikido character. That means, we're likely to have another character that's like Lei-Fang and Bayman in terms of play.

Given what Tecmo Koei has learned through the development of this game, we could see a lot of new ideas for throw catches incorporated Momiji's style, should she be an Aikido character. Sorta similar to Akira's 66P+KT or Kokoro's 1PT or Tina's 5KT. Anyway, its all speculation without any proof, so we'll just have to wait and see.

Upon further reflection, this is like to be a new game expansion (think SF4 to Super SF4) than a DLC expansion. In hindsight, it makes sense as its a lot of data they would have to apply to the game's code (plus modeling, voice work and animation) that a simple patch wouldn't be able to add normally.

So get ready to buy DOA5 again.

At the very least, I'm very happy that Team Ninja has been supporting this game for so long. So we'll see in this expansion is worth the price for me to invest into and continue supporting.
