Dampierre DLC code giveaway

Thanks for all the fantastic input guys! would just like to say that I will be announcing the winners this coming sunday at 1pm GMT time; and will contact them via the forums here and arrange a way to send over the codes, so thanks again for everyone participating and keep the posts coming!

I did receive a message earlier today, and I think there mite be some confusion that I will clear up... the DLC is still up for grabs. I have not closed the contest yet, so anyone can still go for it! However all entries must be posted before 12:30pm (GMT) 04/03/2012 (that's this sunday for our colonial cousins) and as I mentioned previously, I will then announce the 3 winners at 1pm (GMT) Thanks again, and good to get this cleared up if there was some confusion!

Hiya. Pretty cool of you to be doing this, honestly. I'm sure the winners will appreciate it a lot!

I'm Ugg, and I've gone by that pseudonym since as long as I've been a part of any sort of online forum/community etc. (I actually came up with it by accident, haha.) I don't really have much of a history, I guess. You could probably call Soul Calibur 2 my first actual fighting game experience (if you dismiss Smash Bros. 64. Those were some fuuun times.) I fell in love with it, and mostly just played it with a couple of local friends and siblings, being so young. I really liked Necrid, quite fun stuff. Link, too. I couldn't resist playing Link, y'know, growing up in a childhood massively influenced by Nintendo. I'll be frank, I'm not EXTREMELY familiar with the story of Soul Calibur, I mainly choose characters base off of how they play, not who they are. That's just me, though. To each their own. Soul Calibur 3 eventually rolled by, and I picked that up as well. I just sifted through a ton of characters; I never had a real main. That's usually the case in all fighting games I play, I just can't decide on one character to stick with. SCIV was announced, and I didn't bother picking it up, to be honest. The Star Wars characters and such just looked too tacky for me, so I just forgot about the Soul Cal series for a while and went on to play other mainstream fighters. A few years later and SCV's announced, and I was ecstatic/blasted with nostalgia. I basically blocked Soul Cal from my memory and hadn't thought about it in ages, so I was very excited for what looked like a huge improvement over the previous iteration in the Soul Calibur series. Here I am today, and I still can't decide on a main for this game, hah. That's why I'd like to have Dampierre in SCV - I pre-ordered SCV Collector's Edition, but sadly not from BestBuy, which yielded no Dampierre code. I'd like to try out Dampierre just to play around with him, and who knows, maybe I'll end up really liking him.

Thanks for taking the time to read this story/journal entry-esque post, lol. Congratulations to the winners!

I'm also on Xbox, just for the record.

This is pretty radical. I play on Xbox.

Well, I've enjoyed playing Nightmare the most ever since I first played SCII, way back. Running around with Soul Edge and smacking fools is the only true way to enjoy the SCs. I remember playing through the Edge Master (Weapon Master? Something Master) mode in SCII as Nightmare and thinking it very funny how it all played out. His design is always really good (well, SCIII left a bit to be desired...), but his SCV design is the best. It's almost identical to his SCII appearance, and the way his eyes leave little purple streaks when he moves is just the bees knees. The way he plays too is just the best. Running around, swinging Soul Edge with one hand sending folk flying through the air and such. Eh, I just think he's the most fun and interesting character in the series.
