Whoa, you're telling me the standard design DJ design doesn't have to be created each time, it can just be copied along with all the other data that needs to be on each console?
So each console needs to load a save file anyway. Where's this extra logistics issue you all are talking about? Why would we need to check the character more than once?
I like the separate rulesets idea. This way DJ's balance can be tested at locals. Communities grow at locals, and losing potential new players at majors is far less of an issue.
