Critical Edge: A Brief History of Banning...

Another good rule in leadership is that if you don't want people doing things at certain times you can't let them do those things at any time. One ruleset, whatever it may, is the only way to go.
I'm king, so - you there! Peasants! Do as you wish! I'm going to sit up here and look pretty.

Maybe a stupid question, but why didnt Namco just put the actual Devil Jin character in the game?
At this point, we pretty much all wonder that. You'd think that now, since they claim to be supporting the tournament scene, they'd have considered the implications their CaS exclusive decision would have.

I find the current rules much more agreeable than before. It's exactly what the "unban him" crowd wanted - a chance to see whether or not he is suited for competitive play. No TOs are being forced to allow him. Those who do will have no added effort - it's part of the save file you're already using. Other fighting games don't ban movesets as soon as they are announced. I get that Namco gives it's community a unique dilemma, but banning should be a last resort. The goal should be to promote diversity of playstyles.

DJ -because he has no actual character- is banned. It's not a balance issue it's a completely administrative ban. There should not even be a discussion here.
