hey, i bought black ops since it came out. i've been noticing that people are already prestiging. how is that possible when i'm only level 35-40 (my sis plays too, so i'm never too sure about my level)? do they play like 48 hours a day?! do i suck? is there some way to level up fast?......or all of the above?
also, i don't prestige very often (i stick to the highest level instead) and i don't really see the point to it. can someone enlighten me as to why people are driven to waste their lives constantly playing this game to level up only to start all over again?

This game is shit. It runs on Trey's engine- it has completely fucking awful hit detection and the maps are such a clusterfuck of hideyholes that you might as well put a sign on your back that says "fire famas here plz". The weapon balance is pretty damn terrible, too. The fully auto ARs all kill in 3-4 hits and have 750 RPM- EXCEPT for the FAMAS and AUG which fire at 937 RPM. All of them have very similar recoil as well. The Galil has an extra 5 bullets per clip, and the Enfield has 0.05 ADSs time advantage, but those are pretty insignificant. The rest of the gun classes have a truckload of completely worthless weapons as well. Sniper Rifles, even though they patched the shit where guns aren't accurate like a second after scoping in, they still kick randomly and completely fuck over quickscopers.
That said, it has some really cool features. Theatre mode and splitscreen online are features I would have paid an extra thirty bucks or more to have in MW2. Zombies is fun as always. Ballistic Knife and Crossbow are cute fun. Wager matches are a little gimmicky but fun every once in a while. Taking out Stopping Power and killstreak building were smart ideas as well, though I think it's not terrible to keep them in.
