Castlevania Judgment

I've got to disagree with you there loli, SOTN and most of the older 2d games were great but this is not 1997, and i'm getting kind of tired of seeing one after another of those 2d ds games. I just bought Order of Ecclesia or whatever it's called but i truthfully think that will be the last of those. Unless the next one released drastically pushes new ground and features in some other aspect. I think deep down everybody really wants a great 3d game but by now believe it's either not possible or that konami just wont deliver on that end. I think it's very possible and believe they are close to getting there. The 2 previous 3d games are 2 parts of a whole in my opinion. If they took the story, level/character design and control of LOI and combined that with the depth and features of COD....that in my opinion would be a great 3d Castlevania.

I personally think that what Konami should do is make the next-gen Castlevania games 2 1/2 D, like Viewtiful Joe. That way, people can have their 3D characters, but it would still be on a 2D plane, and appease both fans of 2D games and the 3D ones.

Castlevania should have never gone Metroid. I started Castlevania with the Metroidvania games and my friend clued me in on the older games. I have to say, after playing Super Castlevania IV, playing all the others seem to fail in comparison.

I always thought the Metroid-style ones were the best. They were nowhere near as linear as the others.

It looks pretty damn intertaining,to bad I sold my wii. :\
I like the fact that it looks like Power Stone as well. :O

Power Stoneish game play is also what really interests me about the game. Sold the wii eh... i suppose most gamers would have advised this. It does seem rather lacking but, i still wont get rid of it. I think wii's are available everywhere now anyway.

This i believe, would be a good example of "drastically pushing new ground and features in some other aspect", and not like that X chronicles or whatever for the psp. The controls on that game were WAY too slow and restricting.

I hope everyone how WONDERFUL Castlevania's previous 3D game was, I really can't see Judgement being any better than Castlevania 64.
