So... I've been teaching someone at work SC2; however, I've been unpleasantly shocked at how much I've managed to forget. Naturally, my next step was to look around for those lost tricks and combos of old; but alas, I am posting on interwebz forums.

1) Shouldn't you know where that shit is asshole?
-For the record, I did everything I could to keep the original soulcalibur.com from being raped, even backed it up and hid it. But, the choice was out of my hands. I begged its rapers to keep the database intact (why throw away so many registered users?); but alas... the story doesn't end well.

2) Well, did you look at caliburforum.com?
-Yes. I can't even log in... and I do remember there was some crash and everything was lost or something... I can't remember, but I do know I turned over the keys because 8WR.com had carried past the original previously mentioned raping. If anyone does know how to resort the old data there was certainly a wealth of information in it that would otherwise be lost forever.

So, I looked around here, but there doesn't seem to be much that related to the older titles.
 
hi. i don't think any of us would have asked you those questions. basically, nope, it does not exist. the staff at caliburforum.com deleted all the sc1/sc2/sc3 data when sc4 came out, and didn't tell a soul beforehand, and to the best of my knowledge nobody backed anything up. that is a main reason 8wr was created in the first place. we are working to rebuild what was lost, but it is a tremendous job and has taken a long time.

what has been retrieved/redone is here. i know it isn't much, but it is what we have, and is more than you will find anywhere else. if i am wrong about that, and i hope i am, please share any sources you find with us so we can improve our stored data. also, if you go to the 8wr wiki, many characters have frame data and move info from sc2 listed, thanks to diligent members who have completely redone it in the past couple years.

On a completely unrelated note, do you think you will be joining the community to play SC5 when it is released?
 
I remember that the admins made the decision to erase all the info from the SC1/SC2/SC3 arenas because caliburforum.com was running super slow because of all then new traffic once SC4 was released. They thought erasing all those threads would stop the slowdown but in the end it didn't matter and we lost all that precious info. Sucks.
