Best Fighter Games?

List all the current gen (or still in effect) fighters you can and rank them!

  1. Soul Calibur IV
  2. Street Fighter 2HD
  3. Street Fighter 4
  4. Smash Bros Brawl

Love to have Guilty Gears in there but haven't played XX...and all my other fighter knowledge is behind the time (...Primal Rage FTW!!!)

Fuck that.
Wii is hardly current gen anyway. Its a fucking Gamecube with a worse controller.

1. BB (It's not out yet, Fuck you I dont care.)
2. GGAC
3. SF3S
4. SFIV
5. MBAA (for some reason people hate on MB but its a great game, new one looks so good but still no fucking console/pc release date)
6. SCIV (I normally dont play 3D but SC4 is a great game)
7. Melee (Fuck brawl, Fuck nintendo)
8. TvC (fun but lacks depth)

The New KOF better have a nice system or its going to get old fast like most of the rest of them. I really wish they has Vanessa in it.

Blazblue looks like its gonna be beast, I'll be hopping on that train once it rolls into station.

And Brawl...yuck. The man behind that game went above and beyond to ENSURE the game was never taken competitively(yet, people do. LOL anything can be competitive). Noted, people would have played Melee with or without the the glitches/tech. but they did add depth and combos, chains, etc...that otherwise wouldn't be possible. Although right with 3S both games had about the same characters winning major tournies.

I like GGAC, but BB will overshadow that. do to just being on a newer console. Robo-Ky forever tho. (I miss #R Robo, LOL)

SC4...where do I even start with you? Fuck it, I'll play it anyway. Yoshi, Maxi, and Shura are fun enough to keep playing and putting effort in. You and T6 both are taking me for a ride.

SF4, I'd like to thank you for opening the door to a better online netcode on a newer FG title. I'd also like to thank you for the headaches of Jump in Kens and showing the world, Zangief is fun to play(now 100% MOAR easy!) The rest of the cast? Eh, they ain't Gief. Outside of like Blanka and maybe Akuma...I don't really care! :D

Fuck, Im gonna have too many fighters on my plate lol.

I'm really looking forward to Blazblue. I was really into Guilty Gear a year ago but kind of dropped it simply because the scene is dead around here pretty much(University Pinball even got rid of it and put something else in the cab)

My one complaint about it is the character design. Blazblue characters imo lack the personality of the GG series and characters. Which is something I was always a huge fan of.

The game is better received though. Even though I heard it's similarities to GG are like Soul Calibur's to Tekken, the gameplay still looks solid and characters, while they look boring, all have really interesting playstyles.

and apparently if tournament results are any indication, university pinball supposedly has the best BB comp on the east coast at the moment. So in my area the game is on the up and up so I gotta get in on it. lol

but other than looking forward to that, games I'm enjoying at the moment are KoF 2002 Unlimited Match(Really kind of kills my interest in KoF12) and Soul Calibur 4(still trying to make Khent's casuals if they even still do that)

I'm also playing SF4 every now and then online and casually with friends, but for some reason I just don't find the game fun enough to want to get better. It's not a bad game by any means. I just don't like it.

1. Soul Calibur IV

2. Smash Bros. Melee

3. Street Fighter IV

4. Guilty Gear XX Accent Core

The only reason GGXXAC is 4th for me is that I don't play it as much.

As for Brawl, ick. It's still pretty campy in competitive play, and not fun at all. Melee still has a large turnout and it's got a strong competitive base even after Brawl came out. Still, Soul Cal is a bunch of fun.

1. SC4

2. GGAC (Or AC+, depending on what it fixes/ changes)

3. SC2 (Yes, it was that good)

4. MBAA

5. BB

I would have put BB higher, if it wasn't for the fact that Ragna/ Jin are just Sol/ Ky in different outfits. Plus the characters talk way too much in- fight.

But Rachel all the way!! :3
