I had heard that he was having a bad day. Also...at the time, he was filming a very emotional scene. Besides, hes an actor, actors try and get the perfect scenes. Thats how they keep making the money. If Bale has to redo something because some idiot entered the shot then it could quite possibly have an effect on the movie on a whole.
 
It is rumored that Christian Bale's tyraid was scripted and done on purpose to drum up attention for the Terminator Movie,as it has low publicty at this point and doesn't feature Arnold.

I don't necessarily agree with that, but it does make you wonder. Bale has been in about 30 major movies now, and he has not ever once blown up or had a bad rep for being a primadona.

But whatever, I like the guy's movies, even if he turns out to be a douche in rl, it has no bearing on his acting ability and my ability to enjoy it.
