Basic Q&A Thread

While this is true since SCIII, some people really didn't like those stances because they broke up her flow. And because Ivy didn't originally have the stances in her style, then it is not quite like taking Lei's or Sieg's as they began life with their stances.

I myself thought that Ivy's stances looked cool but they were broken. I think if Ivy got a boob reduction , wore pants, dyed her hair, and started using a feather duster instead of her chain sword , you'd have an argument about identity change.

Oh , on another note, If you like Ivy and have only played her since SCIII then you should be in for a treat. That is to say if she is anywhere close to how she used to be.

Thanks for the reply.
I understand what you're saying. Even though I found Ivy without those stances didn't have the same flow. But I didn't play her before SC3 so I wouldn't know.

How come you say I'm in for a treat though? Is Ivy's moveset more like in SC3 then her moveset in SC4? I'm not sure if it was just the stances they changed in SC4 but she felt very different

She has little in common with SC4 Ivy.

In SC5, she's a mix of SC1 and SC3 Ivys. She has only once stance this time, but most of her moves have two versions (short and long range). You do the long range move by holding down the button, eg 6B and 6(B).

I thought they said they gave her two stances in SCV. It seems like she'll turn out to be one of the most severely nerfed veterans in SCV along with Mitsu.
