ok so i'm running into a starting issue on my newly restored bronco. :(
basically, the the battery is old and needs replacement, but not thaaaaat bad. it was brand new 5 years ago and never used. i assume all that sitting has killed it, though. that said, when i turn the key on i can hear the puel pumps start up normally. if the battery is low, it will turn over just fine but the fuel pumps shut off and it won't start. once i try turning it over enough that the battery kills and it won't turn anymore, the fuel pumps start working again! is it normal for the battery to have enough juice to turn over the engine, but not run the fuel pumps or vice versa? i'm terrified that it is clogged injectors and the pumps aren't getting enough power to overcome them.
blaaaaargh. i guess i'll just try a new battery and see if that fixes the issue clean.
ummmmmmmmmm......*facepalm*
