ive recently upped my competion on this game and am running into major problems. i dont know what an oki game is or even how to oki. im terrible on the safe string game i seem to always get countered or my guard breaks. and finnaly i cant seem to understan its a 3f game if anyone has any tips that let the grow to the next level i would really appriciate it.
 
I don't understand what you mean by "its a 3f game".

Safe strings... well even if a move is safe, you still usually end up in disadvantage if your attack was blocked. So if you finish a string, it was blocked, and then you continue to attack, you run the risk of getting countered. Did you already know this?

Okizeme is wakeup pressure... I never cared about the definition myself, I just started doing it without thinking.
Basically you want to hurt the opponent when they remain on the ground, to force them to get back up. For that you want a low or mid attack that hits grounded opponents. If your chosen attack for that does not track rollers, you need another attack for the purpose of hitting grounded rollers.
When you predict that they will get up, you want to hit them with a mid or low attack once again, this time to force them to block correctly or suffer the consequences. You want to make it hard for them to block correctly, so use relatively quick attacks.

When people tech roll, they can't block anything for a little while, so you can "trap" them by hitting them before the tech roll recovery ends. I can't really go in more details...
 
First off thank you for your help i appriciate it second off i ment its a 3D game and i say that because when i was playing some high compettion the other day i had someone in a cornor and i used a vertical and it didnt hit me to the other guy screamed "im in a cornor" and the other guy in the lobby says and "and he uses a vertical" it just never occured to me hey he is in a cornor uses something else. and no i didnot know youd always be a disadvantage i just tought i couldnt chose a char with a good guard break game.
 
i am having worlds of problems confirming hits and procedding to the next one accordingly if anyone has any suggestion on holw to smooth this process out or help with counter hits combos or when to procedd id apriciate it
 
Each individual character has different hit setups. Like if Nighmare uses 3(B) (the one where he swings the sword down once, you bounce up, and he puts his sword by his side) and hits you, then he is guaranteed a bA/b:A (the one where he does that high swipe while you are in the air that hits really hard.)
