360 -> PS3 Converters

I don't get why the USA can't just make 360 the standard, seeing as how France does it and they have converters that actually work for the people who need a PS3 controller. There is no such converter that actually works the other way around to acceptable levels.

$300 Modded controller gogo

360 is also standard in Germany.

The console is cheaper, no laggy stages like on the PS3 and there are perfect converters...
So, i dont get why people still use the PS3, too :P

But still good luck with your converter, looks like mayflash isnt exactly what ou look for :)

Yeah, the best answers I get when I ask why PS3 is the standard in the USA are always appeals to tradition or circular reasoning.

By the way, Doc, can you post a link to where I can buy the converter to play PS3 controllers on XBOX360?

Usually it's just that it's easier to get adapters for older PS2 sticks etc. There was also the assumption that Namco wouldn't go multi platform with all their franchises driving the PS3 tournament standard hardware.

THERE ARE NO PERFECT CONVERTERS... even the best 360 to PS3 converters have lag, anyone who tells you otherwise is wrong or just fooling themselves. To use a PS3 controller on a 360, you need the converter, a 360 controller AND your PS3 controller. Its way more expensive than simply using a 360 to PS3 converter. 360 to PS3 converters also have significantly less lag due to the fact that signature translation is not needed.
