Yeah, like Jay said, they added this new system in the game where they will simply award you a random weapon at given intervals whilst you play. You could even get duplicates of ones you've already received. Or you can get nothing at all when the interval comes, which happens most frequently...

The Demo fro and the Spy fedora are the balls. Also noticed that they finally nerfed the Sandman in that update so it no longer stuns ubered enemies. awesome.
