People beat dark souls at lvl 1. If that doesn't show how little emphasis there is on grinding, I don't know what does. Also I adore the story of Dark Souls, the way it's delivered is amazing because you actually have to piece together clues to figure out a lot of the information.

Combos existing in SF2 were unintended.

L canceling doesn't make anything more deep, it's just a executional barrier for the sake of having one. You could just as easily have made it automatic since it's never really better to not do it anyway. I agree with the overall sentiment though.

More like it punishes you for trying to play alone. If you make pushes with a whole team cooperating it's totally viable. Also Haven is the shit.
