MS had their shot. They're done now.

I prefer the hard copy, but I don't have any problems with digital copies. Instead of making online mandatory, they could have some kind of registration code come with each game copy that would only need to be verified once. Then they could make the copy playable only on the console its registered to? Lol, I don't know.

Yeah, it's basically like instead of a "game disc" you're getting an "install disc" like how PC games are now.

I'm half delighted to play games off the hard drive and not the disc, because I don't have those damn disc read errors, or worry my disc will get scratched, lol.

The downside, though, is that it's taking up your memory. I imagine you'd have to start deleting a lot of games at some point, which would suck. The CD copy solves all that.
