I had an Xbox 360 and PS3 for a while, so I'm familiar with both sides. I like the idea of developer protection. There isn't not enough of that. I've never understood how Gamestop is legal, considering how they make a killing selling used games. I would have liked to see Microsoft approach this a different way, though.

Developers and publishers only make a sale off the NEW game buyers, (the initial sale) so if a copy of a game is sold and re-sold a dozen times, they don't make any profit on that. Realistically it's basically giving potential buyers and option not to support the developer.
Besides I've seen new games retailing for $15 at Walmart, ppl acting like it's end of the world!

I don't know why people need to be so immature and diss the Xbox One all the time over simplistic things. They complain about DRM but it's been in PC games for more than a decade, and they complain about download only games, but that's how XBL has been selling games on demand for over 3 years.
