You can learn something from mashers. Your tricksy mixup got beaten by AA? Yeah, that will happen. Usually a game will have a good scrub killer move, just abuse it and move on. Jin Kazama's old u/f+4444 comes to mind. Or any sweep-elbow move.
The problem is, these dudes weren't even scrub-tier at Calibur. Even Kilik's 66AA would have destroyed them. Surely a PRO GAMER would have at least one scrub-tier friend to tell them about Kilik 66AA. Any of us here could have wiped the floor with them using nothing but Mitsu BB and 1A...

I like to learn and become better at a game. That is fun for me. Some people just want to dork around and scrub machine.
Some games are fun to play competitively, like Soul Calibur or chess.
Other games like Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 or SSBB, not so much. Some people play Brawl...
