Tournament experience?

SC2 regional and a gathering (The Gathering?) in Tulsa were the biggest I went to. Counting local stuff over the years, not a huge amount probably 12 or so.
 
ive only been to 1 tourney. i was completely ignorant on how it was run, and the atmosphere and gameplay that is plyaed at a tourney like that. I got my ass kicked. I was humiliated. But Im not giving up, there is another one here in SD in less than 2 weeks. dont expect to win but I expect to do better than I did last time!!
 
depends on what you are asking for with "games"... how many VIDEOGAME tourneys have I been in? Umm..two. There was some little tourney that I won when I was eight (lol...I know.) And I won a tekken 4 tourney at a local arcade. Those are my only two VIDEO GAME tourneys. But if u mean GAMES, then probably about 100 or so because I've played in LOTS of basketball, soccer, lacrosse, baseball, chess, (couple card games...like pokemon back in the day..lol). Its still the same feel as a video game tourney only there tend to be more people watching you closely in sport tourneys. And I guess you tend to see more people cry after they lose..lol. I remember I beat some 23 year old guy two years ago in some NorCal 1 v 1 18 and up basketball thing and the kid ended up sitting down and tear up after he lost. Kinda weird to see grown men cry in situations like that, which is why video games tourneys might be liked more because honestly there probably is less pressure (though there still IS pressure).

As a sidenote, its quite fun to play old guys in chess tournies...they talk a lot and have some great stories sometimes. But some of them can get pretty angry when they lose *eekk

Ill never forget that tourny.....

Ive done countless local tournys, Prolly in the ball park of 300-500 Local not sure. 2 Regionals, The Gathering. Several New Mexico Tournys, a Tourny in Iowa named E8. A few more but I cant remember where since I was probably to drunk to remember anyways (Looks at Neoshinji with Drunken stare).

If we're talking card games fuck, I dont fucking know at all. I went the 50th Shonen Jump in Cali. Drove there too, that was hella fun best outa state trip too date.
 
Yes, just games in general. As long as it's zero-sum, it probably fits the bill.
