Project Soul wants to know your favorite characters!

If Sophitia and Pyrrha both canonically return (in the main game, not DLC) who do you think will have the Omega Sword & Elk Shield? The other would have to get a new weapon (or a returning one. I would honestly love to see the return of the Owl Shield).
As I said before, Sophitia is the less likely get any changes due to how iconic she is. Pyrrha will likely use a different set, perhaps one of her alternates from SCV?

Well, I spoke to Daishi back in the day when SC5 was being developed. He actually talked to me a lot about Talim while not directly saying she was in the game.

I told him once about how I would miss having a character with the wind charmer stance if she were not in the game. He replied to me and told me that with quick step all characters effectively get wind charmer... Eh, not true but meh.

He later asked me why I like to play Talim so much and to see if I could put it into words. I told him that I like her pure spirit and try hard attitude. He told me that Leixia would fit into that category, or maybe Pyrrha. This was before the roster was finalized.

Later when Talking about Talim he asked me how I would feel if she was corrupted by Soul Edge to make her different and bring something new her character. I told her I would play her if this happened, but I would miss her attitude.

Once I bugged him after I found out that she was not going to be in SC5. He told me that his answer is not canon, but for me to consider her to be on a adventure during the events of SC5 and that she was not dead or the like, just "away".

Yeah, I bugged him a lot.

His answers did make me think that he wanted something to make Talim add more to the game if she came back, like introduce a new idea or mechanic or something, and this theme was common with most of his new characters. I am thinking later that I appreciate the sentiment, but does every character in the game add something entirely new or different? Meh. Just brainstorming here, I'm not even sure what I am trying to say.

Doesn't really matter now what Daishi was planning to do, since he's gone. I wonder how he feels about whats happened after he left.

True that. I mean, I do wish that different things were done with SC5 but it was still a great game and one I enjoyed a lot despite the lack of my favorite wind priestess. I think if the game had another three months of dev time it would have been a much better title, but the way it worked it likely made more money.

Okay I have a chart update for yall. Added a bar chart just to play with it.

The most interesting part I found in this data collection is the following.

Viola had a growth spurt and passed Maxi!

Half the field experienced a zero gain in votes, Only 13 characters had more than 1 vote gained. Still there were 62 votes added, a slight decrease from the 69 last time.

I have also noted a voting trend. In the beginning the male votes absolutely had the upper hand, but over an extended period the ladies have had more gains than the guys, yet still not a higher total in votes. The women have staying power it seems though!

For example.
May 19th.
Votes for females 38
Votes for males 24

May 17th
Votes for females 36
Votes for males 33

May 15th
Votes for females 73
Votes for males 53

However in the earlier data the males had a 400 point lead, and the first data collection points a 100 vote, then a 30 vote advantage, but since then it has gone the other way.

Eh, anyway I thought it was an interesting trend.
