Taokaka's cat ears are sowed onto her trenchcoat. Lucky chloe is wearing headphones/ nekomimi ears.
taokaka is wearing heals of sorts. Lucky chloe is in sneakers. Taokaka's sleeves/catpaws go down to her shin. Lucky Chloe is more proportional to her form. Taokaka has blades and claws. Lucky chloe appears to have no blades, or claws coming out her paws.

you're reaching with this taokaka thing. Not only are you reaching, but it really shows you're just refusing to take the "L" on this one. You lose this one. let's go onto the next.

how long does it take for someone to make a first impression? Does someone have to say something to you for you to form this impression?
What about their actions? You're saying she's similar poses to marie rose... Well.. what type of character is marie rose? For that matter.. how does the way Lucky chloe hold herself, and expresses herself tell you about her character? We get more than 5 seconds to find out about her character. we get a full minute. This includes her moveset. How about you actually pay attention and see her before you spout no.

So you got an idea of her personality,because 5 seconds of that 46 second video was her intro/outro poses,explain this personality,what is it?

also, for frame of reference.. In animation, all you need is a simple action to define a character. take for example this:

None of these characters in the above video said a word. But let me ask you, did you get an idea of what type of character they were? did you get a hint as to their personality? So then it stands to reason that what i'm saying when you see this video:

you have all you need to know about her character/personality/archtype what have you. This isn't deep psychiatry boy, this is animation. Most characters wear their personality on their sleeves.

I don't think so.And since eddy/christie/tiger is the only fighters who i've seen in tekken using that movie,is it not logical to compare it only to them,instead of someone from another fighting game?

And with the customize mode anyone can be made to look "not like a fighter"

What made me upset is that you base your hate off an assumption that's wrong. You give a wrong opinion, and you want to act like you know what you're talkin about. When you hav absolutely 0 clue.

this discussion is about character design. The flaws in your knowledge, or lack there of on the topic, and really how your opinion means absolutely nothing. As a designer, both professionally and academically I find this need to educate you. So I'm glad you finally met someone with conviction.

Only way you would actually truly know this is if you sat down with the character designer and interviewed them on what they used as their inspiration for the character.

And I'm willing to bet that Taokaka never made the thought process. I'll tell you who might have tho:

Oh, it's logical to compare these moves to each other.. except instead of windmills, she looks like she's doing nutcrackers. So they're not the same are they? as for the axe kicks, they may not look the same, but Chloe's moves don't look exactly like the character you say she's copying from either. So what exactly are you going on about again?

correction. a bear that stands on it's hind legs and has a mean disposition looks like a fighter .
you see.. anybody can look like a fighter, if they have the mean disposition and looks like they want to kick your ass, they look like a fighter. So yes, a bear can look like a fighter.

and here's the crux of it. HERE'S THE REAL ISSUE. You're scared. Afraid. And hurt. As I said in my initial post,
This is what it all boils down to.

You're scared that she, someone who doesn't look like they would fit in the realm of tekken took the spot of some other character that you have grown to accept. You have no clue about the complete roster. And you're scared.

and there you have it. That's the real reason.

you have no real clue what character design means. You just know you don't like her, and so you use "design" as a scapegoat.

also, FYI Teachers don't get paid very well. College adjunct professors especially, don't get paid very well. At some institutions I'm sure they get paid decent. But it is nowhere near a high paying job. I make more money freelancing than I do teaching. And I teach mainly because I enjoy teaching. and when I'm freelancing, it's only for a limited time.

when was the last time you saw a teacher driving around a high class luxury car that costs around 80k? I've been going to several schools both as a student and a teacher, I never saw a teacher/professor driving in something that costs over 50k.

get your mind right. Most teachers teach because of passion, just like most animators animate because of the love of it. Of which I am both.
