But how can she not "fit" considering all the characters that's been mentioned (Kuma, Devil Jin, Azazel, etc.)? A demonic dragon from Egypt and a Japanese guy with wings is okay, but she isn't (despite her being Japanese, too)?

I said human cast. I said it 4 times. Human.
She is too kawaii and all that. If you look at the human characters up to Tekken Tag 1 at least, you'll see that 90% of the human cast (Baek, Ganryu, Paul, Hwoarang, Lei, Law, Bruce etc etc), were participants that were supposed to enter the "King Of Iron Fist Tournament", the tournament that only the best fighters in the world participated in. The only human character that participated in the tournaments that doesn't seem like a "King of the Iron Fist" is probably Xiaoyu/Miharu.

What I mean is, these chars, whether fantasy was involved ( Devil Gene) or not (the entire rest of the human roster), were considered "serious", up to a point at least (Tekken 4). By Tekken 5 and after that, the character approach has been changed, so I'm not surprised with the recent results, whether they're good or bad.

Chloe is not too fantasy, is just one more proof Namco (in both Tk and SC) lost the ability to keep a coherent, inspired, solid and recognizable general art style/character design

Chloe, Catalina(hot bewbs i can't hate), Claudio(i like it) are just the continuation from Lars, Alysa, Lily and whatever

And even whatching classic ones, you can see how they martial outfits are ever more often changed in favor of fashion wannabe street clothes

The martial art design core has been lost long ago in favor of shit appearently is currently popular (in japan?)

Blame the specific character is kinda pointless, being the straight producut of the current (and close past) trend of the game

And as much i miss when FG developers had more balls, i don't know how much i can blame them, since any attempt of quality and coherence instead blowjob mass is usually welcomed by shitstorm on the internet

Is sad see once more free artists bend the knee to ignorant kids without any knowledge of chara design.
They are forced to work in a world where shit like this, moe waifu bs, and MK are considered quality stuff

Lets put aside the Lucky Chloe talk aside,she's not the only character in the game.
Xiaoyu looks better than ever,Lars has a strange but cool outfit and Marshall got yellow pants.

taokaka is wearing a trench coat covering her more or less naked form. Lucky Chloe is no where near that.
Taokaka's cat ears are sowed onto her trenchcoat. Lucky chloe is wearing headphones/ nekomimi ears.
taokaka is wearing heals of sorts. Lucky chloe is in sneakers. Taokaka's sleeves/catpaws go down to her shin. Lucky Chloe is more proportional to her form. Taokaka has blades and claws. Lucky chloe appears to have no blades, or claws coming out her paws.

you're reaching with this taokaka thing. Not only are you reaching, but it really shows you're just refusing to take the "L" on this one. You lose this one. let's go onto the next.

If you're talking about personality from 5 seconds of "Hiiiii"s and "Byeee"s then maybe you think that a characters personality can be defined from two words,but i don't think so.No indication of personality has been shown from her trailer.And the only similarity between this character and Marie rose is the hairstlye and childishly cute intro/outro poses.The only defining parts of this character that we can speak about is her moves,which look like Lili's flips and Capo's spin kicks.

how long does it take for someone to make a first impression? Does someone have to say something to you for you to form this impression?

What about their actions? You're saying she's similar poses to marie rose... Well.. what type of character is marie rose? For that matter.. how does the way Lucky chloe hold herself, and expresses herself tell you about her character? We get more than 5 seconds to find out about her character. we get a full minute. This includes her moveset. How about you actually pay attention and see her before you spout no.

also, for frame of reference.. In animation, all you need is a simple action to define a character. take for example this:

None of these characters in the above video said a word. But let me ask you, did you get an idea of what type of character they were? did you get a hint as to their personality? So then it stands to reason that what i'm saying when you see this video:

you have all you need to know about her character/personality/archtype what have you. This isn't deep psychiatry boy, this is animation. Most characters wear their personality on their sleeves.

At 0:26 it looks like the capos' LK,RK move

because they were nothing like anything i've ever seen in Tekken before,

yes because she resemble's King in terms of looks, (see what I did there? If you're smart you caught on). other characters in terms of moves, and every other character in tekken has long blonde hair and blue eyes apparently...

yup. completely unoriginial. In terms of moves. In terms of looks. and her personality really resembles Marie Rose..
Cause Lucky chloe is all about letting the "bloody rain flow forth" and not the tv personality she is obviously trying to be.
