However this isn't logical. Goku will use whatever he can to win if it is important. Fusing with vegeta is not "fair", using the energy of others isn't "fair", having informants isn't "fair", etc. This is the same mentality of soulcalibur scrubs who require handicaps. Lows/grabs/spam are cheating so goku wouldn't do it. He clearly has done it in the past, so stop making scrub excuses.

I have agreed that pre-patch superman is better than Goku, but this guy is suffering from sever fanboyism and sounds like a parrot.

I have an interesting/stupid theory regarding pre-patch Superman vs Goku.

You said "The only limits Superman has are the ones he places on himself" I believe that itself is a limit (The ability to posses limits is a limit in itself). I also believe that having to protect innocent lives is also a limit.

Goku and Superman are both heroes right? Which means, they both would not want to endanger innocent lives. Both of them also do not know the other person is a hero otherwise they would not have this fight. Goku possesses the ability to bring back people thanks to the dragon balls. It is generally agreed that if both of them fight at full power, the fight would generate more than enough power to destroy the earth. Superman would have to impose MAJOR limits on himself as to prevent that from happening. Remember, Superman fights to protect innocent people, what would be the point of winning this fight if it results in the deaths of every human being along with the destruction or Earth? While pre-patch superman might theoretically be "stronger" than Goku, Goku takes the cake in my book.


PS: All post-patch versions of Superman would get fucking obliterated.
