Game of Thrones Discussion Thread (Books and Show)

THIS THOUGH. It kind of reverses Jaime's entire "he's a nice guy really" development.
I understand trying to make Cersei more sympathetic in light of the polarizing events and actions ahead, I really do, but victimizing her and having the love of her life (who, with his faults, is still generally an alright guy compared to many of the people in the world of Westeros) rape her is unacceptable. Cersei very clearly did NOT want to have sex with him, she did not change her mind at all during the scene. She continuously said NO. If David and Dan have any respect for George’s work (or women at all, for that matter), they wouldn’t have pulled some shit like this. This is yet another example of how the media is perpetuating rape culture, misogyny, and objectification.

A possibility, though I don't think I'd like any mention of Stoneheart until the actual reveal scene, which I would hope would be the cliffhanger. I dunno, I think it'd be more impacting that way, plus Thoros was such a character, people will likely remember him quickly enough.
Saying that though, mentions of missing Freys would be wonderful.
I kind of like the idea of the body being dragged out of the river ~ep. 5 and then Arya keeps hearing about Freys disappearing and stuff. Especially around Riverrun.

Also when the fuck is the Blackfish gonna get some screentime???

cliffhanger
Nice touch lmao

Oh, I know, I meant saying they have a new leader, not specifically Stoneheart. But we'll see what they decide to do. I didn't see the episodes with Thoros, so I wouldn't know. And mentioning Freys missing would be great lol. I'm still bitter over how they try to spin the Red Wedding to make it seem like they're the good guys.

Personally, I'd like for them to keep the epilogue exactly as it is, but I'm not really sure how they could convey Merret Frey's thoughts and why he's going there. I guess they could just have him show up and be like, I brought the gold, where's *insert Frey*. It'll be great to see him hang.

Oooh I get ya. That would be pretty neat :P

I think they can try make the Freys sound as good as they want, they're universally hated by all regardless :P

This thread can't die. :(

Not sure how they're going to go with Stoneheart in the show. I'm still hoping for the Merret Frey scene in Ep 10. Brienne hasn't even gotten to those islands wheee the Hound is (he hasn't even 'died' yet). Rorge a Biter are dead, thanks to Arya and the Hound, so I'm not sure how Brienne will get captured by the BwB.

They brought forward AFFC's final chapter with Sansa. I wish it would have been a bit more faithful to the books but it was still a great scene. Lysa finally flew.

Off topic. Have you guys heard of the Jojen paste theory? It's so creepy but very likely at the same time. There's also supposedly a controversial Sansa chapter in TWOW. I find both theories to seem very plausable. Here are the links.

I feel like Stoneheart will be put off until the very last minute. My prediction is that Brienne will be "captured" in episode 8, absent in episode 9 since everything aside from the Wall will not have any scenes, and the last five or ten minutes of the episode will be dedicated to Stoneheart and the Brotherhood.

That was actually ASoS' last chapter before the epilogue, not AFFC, but not much else really happens with Sansa in AFFC either, so I doubt we'll see her much next season.

And the Jojen paste theory is basically canon in my mind, I love it. It makes total sense and it's so creepy omfg.
