It just makes it feel like the game was designed for 12 year old weebos who need constant materialization of their disgusting anime fantasies. Seriously, WTF is up with little girls having ridiculous boobs and ass? Or characters that look straight out of a comedic hentai wielding weapons? The combination of an aesthetic that's supposed to be adorable and innocent with designs that imply sex and violence just makes the whole thing look and feel retarded. And to top it off, this artistic direction is ALWAYS coupled with shitty, overdone, tasteless designs.

There's never anything clever or appealing about generic short skirts, unless you have the brain of a socially awkward 12 year old who just discovered hentai. Because guess what: these games are designed exclusively with these snots in mind. And the worst part is that now this trend has even infiltrated games with otherwise well-designed characters, like Soul Calibur (just look at Amy and her fanbase).

When did you start to realize Japan was exposing us Americans to stuff like that? The only thing I remember was after early 90s anime - early 2000s, things began to change imho.

Well, anime has always been a powerful cultural phenomenon all over the world, but this specific trend in game design didn't really pick up until 2007-2009. Now it's fucking EVERYWHERE.

If by normal you mean absolutely shitty, then yes. And she was obviously designed specifically to appeal to this retarded demographic (along with Talim, Leixia, Natsu, etc). @Gatsu can probably explain this better than me.

I know this is an unpopular opinion on the domains of the muhtalims, but am really I the only one who despises this chibi/anime aesthetic?

I honestly don't really care for it either, but it's exactly what you said it is, an aesthetic, it doesn't really change my opinion on the game when the gameplay is a blast. I can easily overlook small things I don't like to just enjoy the rest of a game to the fullest.
