I've been playing this for 15 years now and never saw a shiny. It's true that I only play the main history and roam around a bit in the postgame, at most I complete the national pokedex of the región but...come on, 15 years, is already time to find one, doesn't it?

Did you try using a pokeradar? its back in X & Y.
Easiest way to get shinnies,thats h0w i got jiggly.
 
Well If I was serious about getting a shiny I'd start to hatch eggs. I even have a foregin Ditto to raise the chances and a Volcarona to reduce the hatch. But I don't see myself hatching 30 boxes of the same pokemon to get a shiny.

What I meant was that in 15 years I obviusly had more than 8192 encounters, so...stadistically I should have seen at least one.
