Teh Gheys Thread

Okay I'm going kinda off topic here, but I just need someone to write to about a problem and you guys usually help.

I'm seriously uncomfortable in my new class. I feel like everyone except one guy (who I kind of have a crush on) alienate me. Even one of my oldest friends, who was really stoked on being classmates with me, kind of just... well she used to be an outsider and stuff, and now she's just one of the popular ones and hanging out with people and I'm just not invited.

Aaaaaaaaaaand, I'm getting seriously dark and brooding and moody about this, so I just thought I'd write and ask what the hell do you do when your psyche is going totally AWOL and you miss your old classmates who weren't total tossers?!

I know this is so off topic but how do you identify other gay/bi guys? There is like two people in my high school and I refuse to believe there are only two! Is there a way to identify other LGBT people like at the mall without going by stereotypes.

Nope, not really.

I've had this problem before and I've found that the best way to deal with it is to ignore the others. Just worry about yourself and the class. Don't talk to people unless you have to, but don't be unpleasant or anything. I have a pretty constant attitude of bitch so I can't really help it myself.

What class is it?

Well, that just happens to be the problem... we're a school class... so we're kind of together 99% of the time. The worst part is that we've been assigned some kind of permanent partner that we're supposed to work with all the time, and mine talks waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to much, but has apparently decided that he's going to act like a flipping mute when I'm around. So yea, lovely.

Anyway, we're going on a cabin trip tomorrow, and as one might expect, I'm super-stoked on spending 24 hours away from civilization with a bunch of people who either ignore me, or seem to have been so gravely wounded by something I've done in the last three weeks that they'll just downright pretend I'm dead. *Sigh*

That sounds pretty rough. I'd like to think they're not being deliberately malicious and probably just feel they don't really know you. Are there slightly friendlier people in the class you can try to strike up a conversation with and come out of your shell a bit?
