..So uhh London ehh? How was that?

Well, I suppose the story is pretty boring. We didn't go out or anything; we never felt like it. The point of going was to see the fantastic British and Natural History Museums with my friend who had never been before, and to go shopping and indulge in fine dining. I got some gorgeous boots from Portobello Market for just £15, as well as a silver garnet ring (haggled from £45 to £30), a cobra armlet and a new bag. In the British Museum the Pompeii and Herculaneum exhibition was very interesting and extremely moving, and I bought two books - Byzantium and A Little Gay History, both of which are fascinating, along with a lovely silver snake ring. I got a little t-rex from the Natural History Museum to go with my huge one and my medium-sized one, and Megan (my friend) was greatly impressed by the life-size model of a blue whale in the mammal room. And of course, the dinosaurs were very fun to look at and learn about. Having been there many times I could direct her a little and we got to see basically everything we wanted to; if any of you have been there and been to The Vault - the little room at the end of the geological section upstairs in the main hall - you'll know how amazing and beautiful it is. As for dining, The Court Restaurant in the British Museum was excellent and both conveniently and elegantly situated at the top and centre of the main atrium, though it paled in comparison to Fortnum and Mason's The Fountain Restaurant as well as a small Lebanese restaurant in Soho called Yalla Yalla, the latter of which was probably our most enjoyed dining establishment.

So, no sexy gay drama or anything I'm afraid, but we both had immense fun!

Copied from the museum's website itself! ;P

Glad you had fun - I went ice skating in front of the TNHM with my now ex at Christmas once. Was pretty great.
