And what's stopping developers from using an online pass that blocks the entire game? That is essentially what putting in a code to play the game on Xbox One is. If you want to call that a win for us then I can only facepalm.

That's basically what Sony does right now with the PS3. FUD is silly.

Really? Has the definition of fanboy changed to rational person because you act as if what I said isn't plausible.
The point is basically developer-DRM is already possible and real in the current gen - its what EA did with the online passes.

This is why people hate on EA and stopped buying their products.

This thread is about how MS is apparently making this mandatory for every game. Thats why people now hate on X1 and make comments about not going to buy it.

The link was about how Sony is exactly NOT doing that and leaves it to publishers, which is excatly how things are working in the current gen.

Tl,dR: MS DRM mandatory, Sony DRM not mandatory.
Thats where your post wasn't plausible.

So are you guys gonna buy this thing if it has a ton of kickass exclusives.

no. instead i would just continuously cuss microsoft out, and then proceed to not buy it anyways because its garbage.

if they really did, that game would lose me as a customer, along with many others. look at how well it worked for diablo3 and simcity. good luck with that.

^this.

also on a side note - kiosk are you serious? there's NO WAY thats tldr! have you seen some of the walls i write? its well within reason for people to read a post your length, and if they cant even do that, they shouldnt be reading posts on a forum to begin with.
