Funny you should say that, G_J, but some news thing on Crunchyroll mentioned a Season 2. I haven't seen anything beyond that, but still.

Anyways, as we approach the middle of the season, I'm going to discuss the shows I followed at any point, and my reasons for doing so.

Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin): As of now, I'm 4 episodes in, and I'm calling this my leader for Best of 2013. This show has everything short of romance, and the acting backs it up.

Valvrave The Liberator: As of episode 4, I am confused... in a good way. Sunrise + mecha is a good combination, and some decent acting, a great soundtrack, and some easily memetic moments (ERU-ERUFU!) make this a very enjoyable show. For now, at least.

HenNeko: 3 episodes in, and this show gives me mood whiplash. In all aspects, including it's studio (JC Staff), it should just be a romantic comedy. Not really. It actually seems to be a show about the troubles with growing up, with some light romantic undertones to start it up.

OreImo 2/Railgun 2: If you liked Season 1, it's the same deal for S2.

My Teen RomCom Snafu: Wow. This was the underdog for this season, but it's good. It's a bit formulaic, but the way everything plays out each episode is different enough to keep things interesting.

Photokano: DROPPED. Just not my cup of tea.

RDG - Red Data Girl: DROPPED... wtf? This show has an interesting premise, a beautiful soundtrack, gorgeous visuals, and the worst plot and characters I've ever seen. How bad? TWO EPISODES IN, I hated every damn character because nothing made any F**KING SENSE-AAAAGH! But honestly, when you can't get the synopsis from the first two episodes... it's shit.

Red Data Girl. I'm trying to stay on it, but at times I fall asleep on it when I'm not that tired. Sometimes, I switch anime because I just don't feel it. Unlike you, I'm gonna play masochist until something gives....though I'm trying very hard to make sense of it.

The other animes you listed? I think you're spot on each of them minus OreImo 2/RailGun 2 and Photokano. The season 2 animes I dropped because I preferred not to invest in any of them. I'd probably like them, it's just I chose not to watch them for now. Photokano? I only watch it because I'm a hopeless fool looking for a good romance anime.

Any suggestions besides Clannad?

Highschool DxD... Can I get a recommendation?
I have watched DxD. Loved it. It's basically a harem comedy that's making the transition to a battle harem comedy... like Rosario + Vampire, but the manga version.

The fanservice goes all out (bare tits in your face in Episode 1), it's reasonably amusing, and when there's a fight going down, it's pretty good. The characters themselves pull this together, though. The lead is a massive pervert who actually wants to make his own harem, and most of the female party members (especially the female lead) are completely fine with his grand scheme, and even repay his good deeds with service. Considering how a lot of recent harem shows have been the same 'we love him, but kick his ass at the slightest provocation' formula... it's refreshing. I'd say you should give it a shot.

Anything by Key really. If you enjoy crying with Clannad, you can go for Air or Kanon. I prefer romances with a good bit of comedy, so my recommendations are Toradora, Boys Be, and Ai Yori Aoshi.

If anyone else wants anything recommended let me know. I've seen my fair share.

Highschool DxD is hilarious imo. Especially if you read the light novels. I couldn't recommend this enough if you're looking for a harem comedy with a bit of (pretty decent) action. The visuals are good and the voice acting is really good.

I've recently seen Darker Than Black, The Last Exile, Squid Girl and Samurai 7. I've got to say that I really liked all of them. Squid was cool for just a laid back watching and Samurai 7 had me bummed when some of the characters died.

I liked all of those, but I definitely have to say that Darker Than Black was particularly awesome.
