Dragon's Dogma

I think it's kind of funny, I already had portcrystals placed at those places. Even before I whored them I didn't mind the walking. Doesn't even compare to trying to get somewhere in Morrowind.

Morrowind is still my favorite RPG I've played. But it was pretty terrible when on of the guilds was like "go to this random cave in the middle of nowhere and kill this guy. Oh, it should take you about 2 hours to find. Mark it on your map? Don't be ridicuous! Don't worry, I'll give you insanely crappy directions that will make you more confused."

Anyway, still haven't played Dragon's Dogma. I've heard very mixed things about it, but it looks good to me. Just haven't had enough extra spending money to justify getting it. How would you guys compare it to other RPGs out now?

The combat is great, npc interactions suck. The world is also a bit on the small side. It's good fun though. With some changes to the NPCs and a larger world I could see DD being a AAA title.

The game is really fun but you will be back tracking a lot if you decide to do side quests. Having to travel from one side of the map to the other isn't fun when you aren't at a high level. I remember trying to get an npc to a fort only to have a chimera show up and beat the shit out of him.

All that means is the game isn't piss easy at low levels. I wish at higher levels it still had the same difficulty factor. Maybe then defense would actually matter when building a character instead of just doing pure DPS.
