Teh Gheys Thread

lol this is still alive
i just played dmc a couple mins ago and i gotta say dante is definitely my type
I don't play it, but Dante is super hot. Who is the brown-haired guy though? I've seen .gifs of him and he's pretty nice as well! Makes me want to play the game, but from all I've heard the gameplay is brain-dead repetitive shit.

And Wyde! You didn't talk about webcomics!

And Wyde! You didn't talk about webcomics!
lol whoops

I read quite a few: Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal, Cyanide and Happiness, (everyone should know what those two are), Boxer Hockey (fantasy sports that updates only a little more than VG Cats), Homestuck (this is stupid), Looking for Group (RPG parody of sorts), and Subnormality (very very wordy and awesome) are among my most closely followed. The Phoenix Requiem and 8-bit Theatre are the only two finished webcomics that I had been reading beforehand.

Particularly NSFW stuff includes The Less Than Epic Adventures of TJ an Amal (gay romance + roadtrip), 14 Nights (Russian in America meets guy afraid of sex), JACK (furries, the afterlife, and all the violence/sex/horror they entail. Don't read this), and Oglaf (Fantasy sex joke comic that only puts warning labels on safe pages. Everyone should read this). My reading selection is all over the shop.

Homestuck is the best thing ever! Vriska is the best character in all of fiction, bar none. Presumably you could tell I was a fan from my avatar, yes? ;D

I read Looking For Group for quite a long time, but it just got boring. I had no idea what was going on with the plot even though, if I recall, it was a lot simpler than many of the other webcomics out there. Like Homestuck. Guess I just forgot a few important details and wasn't bothered enough to re-read it. Plus, everything involved with Richard was so cringe.

Subnormality is completely awesome! The latest one, 'Superhighway', is just fantastic. I really want to know more about the world and whatever backstory there is, but I know that's an exercise in futility. The only thing I'd say, which is a criticism related to the wordiness (which I wouldn't object to per se), is that sometimes Winston walks a touch on the far side of the showing/telling line. I feel that sometimes he's having his characters laboriously explain to the reader the point he's trying to make rather than showing it to them and allowing them to arrive at the conclusion themselves. Still, though, I do greatly enjoy his comics.

If I recall I did try out The Less Than Epic Adventures of TJ and Amal, but I abandoned it fairly soon because it didn't really grab me and the guys were not my type. Still, I think it's worth a revisit as I do hear consistently good things.

Oglaf is great. Cronar is hilarious and I love how evenly split between genders the smut is.

I shall have to try out 14 Nights; sounds interesting.
